Lisa comes to senior move management after suddenly finding herself as a caregiver for both her ailing parents, and when the time came to help them move from their long-time family home to an independent living community, she realized there was an enormous need for some assistance. The resources of a local transitioning company were recommended (and utilized). After her parents settled in their new residence, Lisa decided she wanted to use her professional and personal experiences to provide the same guidance and services to make the transition process easier for others.

Prior to joining Smooth Transitions, Lisa worked for the Alzheimer’s Association particularly to persuade government officials to act by advocating for those who could not advocate for themselves. In addition, she led communication efforts to raise public concern and awareness about Alzheimer's disease and the Association’s services. 

Lisa McKinney holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Communications from Georgetown College (KY).
